Only Reply On Certain Channels

Your bot will respond to contacts on all GoHighLevel channels (Live Chat, Email, SMS, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, Web Chat, etc.) by default. But you may want to change that behavior to make the bot only reply on certain channels.

For example, imagine I've decided I only want my bot interacting with my leads that come in through Live Chat and SMS. This article will walk you through step by step on how to achieve that.

Add Filters to Your Webhook Trigger

We can navigate to our workflow that triggers our CloseBot.ai Webhook. By clicking on my Trigger > Customer Replied and Add filters I can select Reply channel and select the channel I want CloseBot to respond in. For my example I am going to select Live Chat and edit my workflow trigger name to Customer Replied Live Chat so it's clear to me what's happening here.

Add an Additional Trigger

Since I also want add the filter SMS, I am going to click Add New Trigger and select Customer Replied.

Add an Additional Filter

Now I will do the same thing for Live Chat except this time I will select SMS as my Reply channel filter.

Now my bot will only be triggered to respond when my leads reply in SMS or Live Chat. You can select any combination of channels you want your bots to respond in.
