Creating CloseBot Variables

How to get CloseBot more knowledge about the contact by having it pull info from your system fields and using those variables in prompts

CloseBot does not have permission to search the internet (by design for now). However, there may be times where you wish CloseBot had access to information you hold on your contact within your tied in system. This is possible by sending that information along with your CloseBot web-hook!

The CloseBot Request

Whether you’re using GoHighLevel, Salesforce, Podio, Hubspot or something else, these systems communicate with CloseBot via a request. This request includes several key pieces of information like @lead_name (the contact name) and @rep_name (the name of your bot). Below shows what these request parameters looks like both from a GoHighLevel CRM with examples of how to make other variables available. Below we would also have access to the variables @address and @industry throughout our bot settings.

These variables are then available for use anywhere on your Modify Bot page! Look at how we might use the variables @property_address and @property_value for a bot trained in real estate. Look at the main prompt below:

Hey there! You should act as a friendly, but sales savvy investor partner named @rep_name at the best dang cash home buying company. @lead_name filled out a form tied to your advertisement saying they want a cash offer. Your company is so awesome it can close quickly when needed and buys houses as-is! Who doesn’t love that? The company remodels homes after purchase so @lead_name doesn’t have to do annoying repairs. Keep this conversation loose and fun! Please don’t be boring like some minimum wage assistant ?

For your knowledge, the property address is: @property_address

The estimated property value we have on record is @property_value

Of course, these new variables can even be used in the conversation objectives!

Summary

CloseBot is a fully customizable bot-builder system that allows you to build bot environments limited only by your own creativity. With the new boom of AI, working with a tool that’s so customizable is what is going to set your bot apart from the mindless army of other products out there ?
