Integrating CloseBot with Your GoHighLevel (GHL) Account and Funnels

Overview

Integrating CloseBot with your GHL account enables seamless lead capture, automated follow-ups, and efficient sales engagement across various communication channels, including Email, Live Chat, SMS, Instagram DM, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger.

Step 1: Connect CloseBot to Your GHL Account

  1. Log into CloseBot:Access your CloseBot account and navigate to the Bot Settings page.Select the bot you wish to connect.

  4. Integrate with GHL:In the Integrations section, click on Connect to Account.Ensure you are logged into the desired GHL sub-account in the same browser.A window will appear displaying available accounts; select the appropriate sub-account to establish the connection.

Step 2: Create a Workflow in GHL for CloseBot

  1. Access GHL Workflow Builder:Log into your GHL account and navigate to the Workflows section.

Set Up the Workflow:Trigger: Add a Customer Replied trigger to initiate the workflow whenever a customer sends a message on any channel.Action: Add a Webhook action with the following URL: https://api.closebot.ai/message/. This action sends the necessary information to CloseBot when triggered by a new message.

Step 3: Embed CloseBot into Your GHL Funnels

  1. Obtain CloseBot Widget Code:In CloseBot, navigate to the Bot Settings and locate the widget code for the bot you want to embed.

Step 4: Automate Lead Follow-Ups in GHL

  1. Create a New Workflow:In GHL, set up a workflow with the trigger Customer Replied.

  3. Define Actions:Webhook: Add a webhook action pointing to https://api.closebot.ai/message/ to process incoming messages through CloseBot.Additional Actions: Depending on your requirements, add actions such as sending emails, SMS, or assigning tasks to team members.

Note: Ensure the workflow is active to allow CloseBot to respond across all connected messaging channels.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Incorrect Calendar ID: When setting up booking objectives, ensure you're using the permanent Calendar ID from GHL. docs.closebot.ai
  • Missing Contact Information: Ensure that contacts have either a phone number or email, as appointments cannot be booked without this information. docs.closebot.ai
  • Unpublished Workflows: Remember to publish your workflows in GHL; unpublished workflows will not function.
