Types of Assistants

All Assistants are interactive voice agents designed for real-time conversations.

There are three types of Assistants: outbound, inbound, and widget.

Outbound

Outbound Assistants initiate contact with customers or users. They can be used for:

  • Reaching out to potential customers, cold calling, lead generation
  • Appointment reminders, follow-ups, confirming meetings
  • Surveys, feedback collection, post-purchase check-ins

Your Assistant calls your customers to remind them about upcoming appointments.

Inbound

Inbound Assistants answer and respond to incoming calls or messages, handling questions in real time. They can be used for:

  • Customer support, answering FAQs, troubleshooting
  • Order tracking & status updates
  • Automated call routing

A customer calls your business, and your Assistant answers, providing support or directing them to a human agent if needed.

Widget

Widget Assistants can help users from your website. They can be used for:

  • Live chat support, answering frequently asked questions
  • Lead qualification, collecting information from potential clients
  • Self-service help, guiding users through troubleshooting steps

A website visitor asks your chatbot widget about pricing, and the widget Assistant provides answers over audio.
